For the second year, the BCCC arranged for classic cars to be displayed at High Barnet’s Xmas Fayre in the High Street. Over £500 was raised through the sale of raffle tickets, the prize being a ‘dream ride’ in the winner’s choice of the cars on display. Noah’s Ark children’s hospice will be the main beneficiary of the money. This picture shows Howard Pryor’s 1904 B-type Cadillac with the ‘Bull Players‘, ladies from the Old Bull Theatre. From left to right: Elfie (Loretta, Howard’s wife); Cracker (Franchesca); Santa (Lisa, a previous Dream Ride winner); Weather Lady (June, “it’s rain deer”). Howard has taken his Cadillac on no less than nine London to Brighton runs and it can reach the dizzy speed of 28 mph.
The 2022 winners of the Dream Ride are Jack Quinlan, Emma Phillips, Pauline Ellinas. Congratulations!!!
